Vinty POS (“Vinty POS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a product of POS Outlet. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our point-of-sale software, marketing website (vintypos.com), and related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

Account Information: When you create an account or sign up for a trial, we collect your name, email address, phone number, store name, and store type.

Dealer Information: Store owners may add dealer (consignor) profiles which include names, email addresses, phone numbers, booth numbers, and commission/rent details.

Transaction Data: We process and store point-of-sale transaction data including items sold, prices, payment methods, and timestamps. This data belongs to the store tenant and is scoped to their account.

Customer Information: Stores may collect customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, and loyalty program data at the point of sale.

Communications: When you contact us via our website or email, we collect the information you provide in those communications.

3. SMS and Text Messaging

Vinty POS uses SMS text messaging for transactional purposes only. We do not send marketing messages via SMS. Text messages may include:

Account notifications — login credentials, password reset links, and account setup confirmations sent to dealers and store staff.

Digital receipts — transaction receipts sent to customers at the point of sale when they opt in.

Loyalty program updates — points balance and redemption notifications for customers enrolled in a store’s loyalty program.

Opt-In: SMS messages are only sent to individuals who have explicitly opted in. Dealers opt in when their store owner creates their account with SMS notification selected. Customers opt in at the point of sale when they provide their phone number for receipt delivery.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your store activity.

No Sharing: We do not share phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are only used to deliver the transactional messages described above.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, including processing transactions, managing dealer accounts and payouts, sending transactional notifications (email and SMS), providing customer support, and ensuring the security of our platform.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) for data storage with row-level security policies that ensure each store tenant can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Multi-Tenant Data Isolation

Vinty POS is a multi-tenant platform. Each store’s data (inventory, transactions, dealers, customers) is logically isolated using tenant-scoped database policies. Store owners can only view and manage data belonging to their own store. Dealers can only access their own inventory within their assigned store.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform: Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for hosting, and Twilio for SMS delivery. Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing the data they process on our behalf.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your account, we will retain your data for up to 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be permanently deleted upon request.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Store owners can export their data at any time. To request data deletion or to exercise any privacy rights, contact us at sales@vintypos.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
